Galo Balseca grew up with three sisters in Manhattan, NY. He loves to shop and hang out with his kids and enjoys raising them in his spare time. A Range Rover is Galo's fantasy dream car and his favorite music is hip-hop. He likes to watch "Three's Company" on TV and his favorite movie is "Scarface". Spanish food is his favorite especially when he can get it at his mom's house. Galo had never been in the tattoo scene until he started working for Mario at Starlight Tattoo but thinks the reality show "Inked" and "Miami Ink" is corny.

He officially became a tattoo artist ago but has been tattooing for 3 years; a dream he had while incarcerated. When asked how he felt after doing his first tattoo he stated that he was very confused. His daughter has influenced him most in his tattoo career. Galo stated it was because he is trying to secure her future. His family believes that if tattooing gives Galo a career he should do it.

Galo got his first tattoo that he designed himself at the age of 16. The advice he would give to someone who would like to become a tattoo artist is to practice, practice and practice some more. His favorite style of tattoo is black and gray. Galo's advise to anyone who is thinking of getting a tattoo is to make it meaningful. As for minors getting tattoos, Galo feels that they are just too young to know what they want.

Hennessy inspires Galo the most to do his best work possible. Galo has about 20 tattoos on him but his favorite is the "G" on his forearm; he says it represents his whole life. He does have tattoos that he regrets. Galo's most difficult time in his life was when he had to go to trial and was incarcerated but now looks forward to happier times with his daughter and son.

Galo is a democrat and believes the government will in time try to interfere with the tattoo industry because the government interferes with everything else. He also feels the Internet has had a significant impact on the industry

Though everyday is a challenge to Galo when asked where he would like to be in ten years he thought he'd like to be right where he is now only better at tattooing. We couldn't be happier.
